Burnes was one of a kind. He was loved by all. He was a great guy to work with at Woodman's. I had a great time bringing him from Green Bay to Madison where he wanted to be close to Woodmans and all his friends. He loved when I brought him out to Richwood and Casey´s. I know he loved his Brewers, Betsy, his family, beets, beef stew and eating my homemade food. Sorry we couldn´t do it again and again. Love you rest in peace.

On behalf of my dad, Jerry Knox, who worked with Burnes at Montgomery Ward, I send heartfelt condolences. Burnes kept in touch with my dad through the years. My dad was touched by that. When in Madison years ago, we went to the Woodmans where he worked to see him and drop off a Brewers´ schedule. It was a sweet little visit.
Rest in peace, Burnes.
Be sure to check in with my dad up there! He´ll be happy to see you!

My precious Big Brother, I´ll miss you more than anything in this world. You and I have always been so close we told each other everything. My heart is broken so badly that I don´t know which way to go. I sincerely don´t know how much of my heart I can lose, Mom Dad Tommy Alan and now you. The memories that I carry will always be with me, playing baseball in the open field on Harding street, to walking to John Ball park zoo and spending a few hours there. I hold so many wonderful memories that there´s to many to list. Please give Mom Dad Tommy and Alan big hugs for me. Now please grab a beer and go fishing with Dad and Tommy. I love you

Uncle I will never forget you! The best memories of you are your beautiful red hair you once had and the Milwaukee Brewers games you would take me to when a little girl. You had such a beautiful heart while here on earth and I just know you entered those heavenly gates with family waiting with wide open arms. As we all will miss you here on earth I know this isn´t a good bye but a I´ll see you later. As you enter you're forever. Until we meet again I will miss you until then. Much love your niece Jeannie
