C. Wayne Switalski, 74, of Morgantown, W. Va., passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at the J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown. He was born October 13, 1950 in Morgantown, a son of the late Edward R. and Ada E. (Roderick) Switalski, Jr. Wayne worked as a carpenter with his brothers and son and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Sons of American Legion Post 992, the Bobtown Polish Club and the Mount Morris Sportsmen's Club. His wife, Carol E. (Clark) Switalski, died January 22, 2000.
Surviving are a son, Wayne E. Switalski (Amy) of Waynesburg, Pa.; three grandchildren, Tyler Switalski, Mason Switalski and Wyatt Switalski; two brothers, Richard Switalski (Pearl) of Point Marion, Pa. and Gregory Switalski (Cheryl) of Garards Fort, Pa.; a sister, Debbie Lowther (Jim) of Dilliner, Pa.; a brother-in-law, Lowell Engelman of Monaca, Pa. and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a daughter, Beth Ann Switalski and three sisters, Judy Deems and her husband, Bill, Rebecca Engelman and Wayne's twin, Jane Frankhouser and her husband, Jerry.
There will be no public viewing.
A celebration of his life will be held from 2 to 4 P.M. on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at American Legion Post 992, 319 Mount Morris Road, Mount Morris, PA 15349.
