Calvin Earnest Sanborn, a beloved resident of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 30th, 2025, at the age of 64.
Born on January 9th, 1961, in Marion, Ohio, Calvin lived a life filled with creativity, love, and a deep appreciation for art and music.
A true artist at heart, Calvin's passion for drawing and painting was evident in the beautiful murals he created on several buildings around the Marion area. His artistic talents left an indelible mark on the community, bringing color and joy to those who admired his work. In addition to his love for art, Calvin was an avid fisherman and cherished the tranquility that came from spending time by the water.
Calvin's heart was as vibrant as his artwork. He found joy in the music of the '80s, especially rock and roll, blues, and jazz, which provided the soundtrack to his life. His unwavering faith in God guided him through every step of his journey, offering comfort and solace to those around him.
He is survived by his loving children, daughters Sarah (Chad) Miller and Stacy (Mark) Hale, and son Joshua Sanborn. His legacy extends to his cherished grandchildren, Devin Hale, Avana Hale, Austin Taylor, Trey Miller, Brooklynn Miller, Ashya Miller, and Nate Bruce, as well as nine great-grandchildren who will carry forward his memory. Calvin also leaves behind his dear niece, Christi Banks.
Calvin was preceded in death by his parents, Crawford and Peggy Sanborn, his brother Richard Sanborn, and sister Debbie Sanborn. Their memories remain cherished by those who knew and loved Calvin.
Calvin Earnest Sanborn will be remembered as a compassionate father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend. His legacy of love, art, and faith will continue to inspire all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
