Carl Carmen Baratta Jr. began his life's journey on May 22, 1938, and sadly passed on April 19, 2024. He was a cherished son, beloved brother, husband, father, uncle, and a dear friend to many. He grew up in Edison, NJ during his formative years and went on to attend Rutgers Preparatory School in Franklin NJ. He graduated from Villanova University and further achieved a Master's degree from Seton Hall University securing him the title of Certified Public Accountant. His education awarded him the position of Business Administrator at Essex County College in West Caldwell, NJ.
Carl prioritized the well-being of others before his own. His generous and caring nature befriended those he met. He possessed a remarkable ability to master various skills quickly as he honed his entrepreneurial acumen and became a successful businessman.
In the winter months you could always find Carl indulging in activities such as golfing, water skiing, swimming, or just basking on the sun-kissed beaches in Florida. His love for the sea was evident in his passion for boating. He enjoyed sailing "The Papillon", from Florida to New Jersey. An adventurous soul, Carl thrived on adrenaline-fueled pursuits, whether it was skydiving, or skillfully piloting airplanes.
Family held a special place in Carl's heart, and holidays were treasured moments spent together. He delighted in creating lasting memories, particularly relishing trips to New York City during the Christmas season. Every year he shared this passion for the city's culture with his three younger nieces.
Carl Carmen Baratta, Jr. leaves behind a legacy of love, adventure, and unwavering dedication to his family and friends. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched.
