Carl Sanders Obituary

Carl Sanders, 89, of Moreland, passed away in his home, surrounded by his loved ones on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. He was born on January 2, 1935, in Decatur County to the late Jacob and Daisy Sanders.
Carl grew up in Climax, GA and graduated from Bell-Dixon High School. He was a proud graduate of the University of Georgia, and he worked and retired as an environmental specialist for Coweta County. He was a faithful member of Moreland United Methodist Church for over 50 years.
His celebration of life will be Wednesday, November 13th at 5:00pm at Mckoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson Street Newnan. The family will welcome visitors from 4-5:00. Donations may be made to Salvation Army, Wounded Warriors, and St Jude's.
He is preceded in death by his parents, four siblings, and his wife, Jennie Sanders.
Survivors include his beloved daughters, Lisa McLean (Jim), MaryBeth Wooten (Roy), and Allison Glenn (Pat), his seven cherished grandchildren, Ben Roberts (Rachel), Abraham Anwar (Nicki), Jacob Anwar (Brooke), Tanner Glenn, Chloe Glenn, Emma Glenn, Lydia Glenn, his precious great-grandson, Sawyer Anwar, and his brother Rodney Sanders.
Carl loved being surrounded by his family, watching the Georgia Bulldogs, riding his 4-wheeler, and working in his garden.
