Carl Stout Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Parker-Millard Funeral Service and Crematory - Columbia on Nov. 28, 2024.
Carl E Stout of Mooresville, North Carolina passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at his family's Columbia, Missouri home. Carl was born on September 18,1968 in Columbia, Missouri to the late Ellis and Dorothy (Runbeck) Stout.
Carl graduated from Hickman High School in Columbia, Missouri and received bachelor's degrees from the University of Missouri and Pittsburg State University. He also studied in Braunschweig, Germany. He was the president of Martin Woodworking Machines Corp upon his retirement in 2018.
He was always involved in a project. He remodeled his Mooresville home, was in the continuous process of restoring the farmhouse in Lindsborg, and remodeling the Columbia home. He was a collector of many things including the collection and restoration of antique pinball machines.
Carl was a one of a kind, caring person with a big personality, and a generous heart, who left a lasting impression on all he met. Once a friend, always a friend. Carl loved live music and couldn't resist a good jam band. He had a culinary side and was known for his homemade jerky and pastrami. Ask him trivia and he most likely knew the answer. And he was also known for throwing great parties.
He was preceded in death by his identical twin brother, Charles E. Stout, and his parents. The Stoutie boys are together again.
Survivors include his partner Adria Allen and lifelong friend John King, both of Columbia, Missouri and dear friends Roger and Kathy Anderson of Mocksville, North Carolina. He also leaves behind the many close friends he loved as family that are too numerous to mention and some cousins.
Cremation has been chosen. His remains will reside at Elmwood Cemetery in Lindsborg, Kansas. Celebrations of life will be held in Mooresville, North Carolina; Columbia, Missouri; and Lindsborg, Kansas on dates yet to be determined.
Should friends desire, memorials can be made to the charity of their choosing.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker-Millard Funeral Service & Crematory, 12 East Ash Street, Columbia, MO 65203 (573) 449-4153. Condolences may be left online for the family at www.parkermillard.com.
