She was born March 13, 1956, in Detroit, the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Louise (Rosendale) Nicolazzo.
Her marriage to Anthony "Tony" Menzel was June 22, 2024, in Yale.
Carla worked as a legal assistant for several law offices. She enjoyed doing volunteer work and volunteered with the Community Emergency Response Team. She was also involved in working and a member of the American Business Woman's Association. Carla loved riding along with her husband Tony on his motorcycle, golfing, bowling and traveling.
Surviving in addition to her husband Tony are her three brothers, Michael (Rose) of East Pointe, David (Michelle) of Yale, and Anthony (JoAnn) of Yale; two step-children Michael Maki and Matt Maki; 15 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Catherine Maki.
The family honors the memory of Carla and invites you to visit and share memories Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Yale.
Memorials are suggested to Karmanos Cancer Institute.
