Carlos Chávez, born on November 30, 1942, in Ecuador, passed away on October 11, 2024, at the age of 81. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose love for family, learning, and soccer left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
Carlos was married to his beloved wife, Anni Chávez, for 58 years, sharing a lifetime of love and companionship. Together, they raised four children: Maida Días, Aminda Ramos, Anita Zambrano, and Carlos Chávez Jr., all of whom he was immensely proud of. He welcomed into his family his sons-in-law Rodolfo Ramos, José Zambrano, and Marcos Días, as well as his daughter-in-law Paula Chávez.
As a grandfather, Carlos was a guiding light to Maida Pierce, Nicole Ramos, Emily Ramos, Giovanna Dias, Giselle Dias, Miguel Zambrano, Andy Zambrano, Cristian Chávez, Sofía Chávez, Daniel Chávez, Diego Chávez, and Kathy Calvert. He cherished his time with each of his grandchildren and was overjoyed to be a great-grandfather to Cora Calvert and Ella Calvert.
Carlos had a deep love for soccer, especially for FC Barcelona, and found great joy in following his favorite team throughout the years. His passion for learning was boundless, and he was an avid reader who constantly sought knowledge in every stage of his life.
Carlos's memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His dedication to his loved ones, his passion for soccer, and his thirst for knowledge will continue to inspire those who knew him.
A service to celebrate Carlos's life will be held at O'Boyle Funeral Home, where family and friends are invited to gather in his memory.

Carlos Chávez, nacido el 30 de noviembre de 1942 en Ecuador, falleció el 11 de octubre de 2024, a la edad de 81 años. Fue un esposo, padre, abuelo y bisabuelo devoto, cuyo amor por la familia, el aprendizaje y el fútbol dejó una huella perdurable en todos los que lo conocieron.
Carlos estuvo casado con su amada esposa, Anni Chávez, durante 58 años, compartiendo una vida llena de amor y compañerismo.
