Carlos Alberto Fernandes, a beloved husband and father, passed away suddenly on 28, 2024, in Silver Spring, Maryland. He was born on January 1, 1970, and his life was filled with warmth, laughter, and an unwavering kindness that touched everyone who had the privilege to him.
Carlos was Betsy Carlin's loving spouse and a devoted father to his son, Chris. He had an incredible ability to make those around him feel welcomed and at ease, a quality that made him a cherished friend to many. Carlos's sense of humor was infectious; his laughter could brighten even the darkest of days. His kind heart and open spirit created a safe haven for family and friends alike, allowing them to share in both joyful and difficult times.
He is survived by his loving wife Betsy and their dear son Chris, who will carry his memory forward with all the love he imparted. He is also survived by countless friends, coworkers and family. Carlos is also remembered eternally by the spirit of his late father, Fernando Fernandes, and his brother, Jose. Their influence remains imprinted in the lives of those who loved them, creating a legacy of warmth and affection that transcends time.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a viewing at Mother Seton Catholic Church in Germantown, MD, on October 4, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A Mass will follow, beginning at 11:00 AM, celebrating Carlos's life and the joy he brought to all. His journey will conclude with a burial at All Souls Cemetery, commencing at 1:00 PM.
As we gather to honor Carlos's life, we remember a man whose kindness, humor, and love will forever resonate in our hearts. Such is the enduring legacy of Carlos Alberto Fernandes. He will be missed deeply, but his spirit will continue to inspire those who were lucky enough to know him.
