Carol A. Muchler, 81, of Winfield passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, surrounded by her family.
Born in Wilkes-Barre on January 31, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Johnson D. and Evelyn R.(Robinson) Bachman. She was married to James C. Muchler. Together they celebrated 60 years of marriage.
Carol was a 1962 graduate of Meyers High School and attended Christ Wesleyan Church in Milton for many years. She loved having tea with her dear friends, spending time at the beach, and corresponding with family and friends through letters and cards. Most of all, she adored entertaining her family. A sign hangs in her home that states "Happiness is a kitchen full of family".She was active in her church community group and held its members in the deepest regard. Carol was a member of the Sisterhood of the Philanthropic Educational Organization (P.E.O.) for 28 years and was an active and beloved member in P.E.O., Chapter BV in Lewisburg.
In addition to her husband James, she is survived by two sons Benjamin J. Muchler of Boxford, MA, and Daniel S. Muchler of North Abington Twp., three grandchildren Kenneth J. Muchler, Hazel S. Muchler and Owen P. Muchler, and a sister Barbara E. Edwards of West Pittston.
Friends and relatives will be received on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Shaw Funeral Home 400 N. Front St. Milton. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 19 at 3:00 p.m. at Christ Wesleyan Church 363 Stamm Rd. Milton.
