Carol Jean Nixon, age 65 of Springfield, passed from this life on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with her brother, Curley Elmore officiating. Burial will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Mack Nixon, David Nixon, Wyatt Nixon, Terry Grant, Michael Nixon, and Curley Elmore serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 4 until 8 PM and Saturday from 9 AM until the hour of service.
Mrs. Carol was born December 13, 1958 in Springfield to the late J.C. and Geraldine Rippy Elmore. She was a homemaker and enjoyed the outdoors and cooking. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Teresa Morales and her brother, David Elmore.
Surviving her is her husband of 48 years, Bobby Joe Nixon of Springfield; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Candy Nixon of Cedar Hill; grandchildren, Mack Nixon, Natalie Nixon, David Nixon, and Wyatt Nixon; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Ricky and Melinda Elmore of Springfield, Jackie and Judy Elmore of Franklin, KY, and Curley and Annette Elmore of Elkton, KY.
Robertson County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
