Thinking of you, Carol and still missing our talks. So often I start to pick up the phone just to chat and then realize I can only hear your voice in my mind. You were a great friend - a loyal, fun loving, brave, adventurous person. You adored your family and were perhaps the most kindhearted person I ever knew. I send love to Jason and Elizabeth and all your family today. Your family became my family and my family became yours. Know you are loved and missed.

My poetry class was going to listen to a poetry reading at the college nearby and the room was totally quiet while everyone did their readings. My mom and I both got caught in this laughing fit, feeding off of each other's laughs we couldnt stop. I felt so bad for the readers but it was hilarious

I first met Carol in 1984 when she was pregnant with her beautiful daughter, Elizabeth. She and her husband Bill attended my wedding and my husband at the time and I spent lots of time with them as the guys finished their residencies at Walter Reed. She was always like a breath of spring air! So down to earth, kind, and funny. I will miss her terribly.
