Graveside Services for Carol L. Williamson, 86, longtime resident of Abernathy, TX, will be held on At 10:00 am Wednesday, October 2, 2024, in the Abernathy Cemetery with Rev. Brian Townsend officiating. The family will gather to receive friends from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Abell Funeral Home. Services are under the direction of Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Abernathy.
Mrs. Williamson died in Lubbock, TX Saturday, September 28, 2024.
She was born on August 11, 1938 in Turlock, CA to Ed & Faye ( McNelly) Walters. Carol married her sweetheart, Donald Williamson, January 24, 1958 in Lubbock, TX. They were married for almost 65 years until his passing on January 3, 2023. She was a farmers wife for over 40 years. Carol loved to play golf, spend time with family and friends and make crafts of all kinds.
Mrs. Williamson was preceded in death by her husband, Don Williamson, 2 sisters Barbara Faye Walters and Doris Gray, son-in-law, Brian Manuel, granddaughter, Suzan Manuel, and 2 brothers-in-law Paul Westbrook and Lee Doss.
She is survived by her daughter Susan Manuel Smith and husband, David, of Ada, OK, 2 sons Donnie Williamson and wife, Buzz, of Lubbock, and Matt Williamson and wife, Holly, of Abernathy, 4 grandsons Jacob and Caleb Williamson of Abernathy, Arron Manuel and wife Kate, and their sons, Carter and Spencer, and Steven Manuel and wife, Taylor, and their children Bry, Eme and Row, all of Ada, 1 brother Eddie Walters and wife, Linda, and 2 sisters Dartha Westbrook and Nona Doss.
The family suggests memorials be sent to a favorite charity.

She was a very Kind Sweet Lady when I married into the family. She along with Don were very Special people. She Loved Everyone just like her family.. Rest inPeace.
