Carrie Flanagan Obituary

Carrie F. Flanagan, of Laurel, Maryland passed away on Saturday, November 2nd. She was 66 years old. Born on October 22nd, 1958 to Ruth and Harold Vettel, Carrie was a lifelong Maryland resident who graduated from University of Maryland in 1981. Her career took her into the medical field, where she worked diligently in the billing and coding department until her retirement in 2006.
In her free time, Carrie enjoyed gardening, needle points, and anything Disney, including many trips to Disney theme parks. She is survived by her dear husband of 40 years, Brian Flanagan; Son, Sean Flanagan; Daughters Theresa Flanagan, Jennifer Green (Breeyn daughter- in - law) and bonus daughter Jeannine Cook, a friend that Carrie graciously and unwaveringly took under her wing many years ago. She was predeceased by her parents, as well as her brother Carl Vettel.
Friends may visit at the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A. 313 Talbott Avenue, Laurel, Maryland 20707 on Saturday, November 9th from 12pm to 1pm, with a funeral service starting at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in honor of Carrie.
