Cathy is survived by her two loving daughters Amy Smith (Matt) and Laura Wood. She deeply loved her grandchildren Matthew, Elizabeth, Aniya, and angel granddaughters Samantha and Taylor. Cathy is also survived by many more family and friends.
Cathy was born on April 29, 1959 in Baltimore to the late William Mehl, Jr and Doris Murdock. Cathy was also predeceased by siblings Bill Mehl, III and Debbie Hoppe, and son Dan Wood.
Catherine was a woman with the kindest of souls and a generous heart. She inspired many to be brave and keep fighting. Unfortunately, her battles were drawn to a stalemate. The surviving family carry their grief with heavy hearts as they will miss Cathy with more passion than words could ever describe.
Cathy's memorial Mass will be Friday, November 8, 2024, 11:00 am at St. John the Evangelist Church, 13305 Long Green Pike, Hydes, MD 21082.
