Catherine Elaine Marks Esser, 83, of Huntsville, AL passed away peacefully on the 24th of October 2024. Elaine was born on September 25, 1941, and was born and raised in Huntsville, AL. She worked many years in retail and then became a loving housewife and mother to her husband and two daughters.
She is survived by her daughters, Beth Esser-Alaoui of Huntsville, AL and Carole (Tim) Rundle of Huntsville, AL; and her three grandchildren, Catie Eyler, Zachery Rundle and Matthew Rundle. She is also survived by her siblings, Johnny (Jenny) Marks, Hazel Bramlett, Barbara (Jerry) Taylor and Sue (David) Walls; and many nieces and nephews.
Elaine was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Axel O. Esser, her parents, David Lee Marks and Grace Margaret Marks, her sister and brothers-in-law, Carol Key, Ray Key and James Bramlett, her niece, Tanya Moore and nephew, Durrell Bramlett.
The immediate family will receive family and friends at Laughlin Service Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with the funeral immediately following at 11:00 a.m. The burial will be at Valhalla Cemetery following the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in honor of Catherine Elaine Esser to Huntsville Hospital Foundation, 801 Clinton Avenue East Huntsville, AL 35801.
