On the evening of January 9th, 2025, Catherine Souvercaze passed away peacefully. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend.
Catherine was born in Listo – Pic d'Azur, Pyrenees-Atlantiques, France, to the late Jean and Claire Nougue-Debat.
She is survived by Jean-Baptiste, her husband of 65 years, son Jacques (Joanne) and Daughter Arlette Erdozaincy (Alain), grandchildren Annette, Chantal (Stefan), Dominique (Brooke) and Jacqueline (Joey); and great grandchildren Ella, Zoey and Easton.
She is survived by four sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews and cousins in France. Catherine is reunited in heaven with her sister Augustine and brothers Pierre, Alexis, Laurent and Jackie.
Mom enjoyed cooking and hosting parties for family and friends. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was always happy, encouraging and inspirational to all.
She will greatly be missed and carried in our hearts forever. Our family would like to express our gratitude to the caregivers of Hospice, Sonoma Oak Tree Place and Olga who gave Catherine such compassionate care.
A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday January 22nd 11:00am at St. Francis Solano Church, 469 3rd St. West, Sonoma.
If inclined, in lieu of flowers, please make charitable donations to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America or Hospice By The Bay Health (BTBH).
