Ms. Cathrene "Cat" Y. Ervins, 68 passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at her residence.
Public Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 1:00 PM CST until 6:00 PM CST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel, Lafayette, AL.
Ms. Ervins will lie in state at the church one hour prior to funeral service.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, 2:00 PM CST at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Lafayette, AL. Reverend Michael Stiggers, Pastor. Reverend Kelsey Barnes, Officiating, Reverend Gary L. Dixon, Eulogist.
Interment will follow funeral service in Finley Cemetery, Lafayette, AL.
Cat leaves to cherish her loving memory her devoted children, whom she deeply adored: Lasparkle Holloway, Shanneka Holloway, and Yolanda (Travis) Williams; grandchildren, who brought her great joy: Marquavian Billingsley, Terrianna Holloway, Paris Holloway, Jykeria Holloway, Joshua Holloway, Shantrecia Holloway, Nykeria Barnes, Rogdricus Huguley, Javarus Tewell, Jakayla Billingsley, Eriona Huguley, Amir Dunn, Komoneshia Huguley, and Monae Huguley; great-grandchildren: Jakai Holloway, Jade Holloway, Taylor Billingsley, Maci Huguley, Khyree Holloway, and Cayden Barnes; daughter-in-law, Nakisha Huguley Dunn; loving siblings include her sisters: Diane (Dennis) Holloway, Minister Juanita Winters, Della Hayes, Lela Patten, Lashonna Todd, Helen Olowo, and Betty Martin(Donald); her brothers: Nathaniel (Debra) Young and Benjamin (Linda) Young; In-laws: Dennie Brooks, Mary Ervins, John Albert Brooks, and Julia Terrell; loving aunts, Emma Ree Hughley and Annie Gussie Hughley; special relatives and friends Christine Holloway, Mary Lockhart, Ella R. Burton, Paula Presley and Marshall "Annie Ruth" Holloway, along with a host of extended family and friends.
