Charles Hall Obituary

Charlie (Gary) Hall, 82 of Church Hill, TN passed on September 7, 2025, at Asbury Place Steadman Hill.

Charlie was born October 28, 1942, in Scott County, VA to the late Dewey and Edna Hall. He graduated from Dungannon High School in 1962 where he was active in Future Farms of American. After graduation Charlie moved to Kingsport where he began working at the Kingsport Press. He retired with 44 years of service in which he advanced from machine operator to supervisor and saw the Kingsport Press be acquired by two other printing companies. Charlie was witty, an avid gardener and enjoyed reading about history. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his children: Sheila King and husband James; Myrna Foley and husband Kevin; Amber Davidson and husband Heath, Matthew Hall, and wife Brooke. Grandchildren: Connor and Jordyn Foley; Evan, Eli, Emma, and Easton Davidson; Brooklyn, Kroy, and Grant Hall; Valerie King Everroad and Gabriel King; sister Doris Darnell; brothers Gerald and Marcel Hall; many family and friends.

In addition to his parents Charlie is preceded in death by his wife Jody Bradshaw Hall; sister Freda Hall LaRochelle; brother Alan Hall.

Services will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Johnson Arrowood Funeral Home in Church Hill. Visitation will be 11:00 -1:00. The funeral service officiated by Pastor Heath Davidson will be held at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Church Hill Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
