Charles Manara Obituary

Charles J. Manara, 87, of Saddle Brook passed away October 18, 2025. Born and raised in Newark, he lived in Bloomfield, Elmwood Park for thirty years before settling in Saddle Brook. Before retiring Charles was a Captain in the Newark Fire Department and worked for over thirty years. He was also owner and operator of the nightclub Studio 1 in Newark. Preceded in death by his parents Charles M. and Elizabeth Manara. Beloved husband of Lorraine Mazza. Devoted father of Denise Manara of Altamonte Springs, FL and Darlene Manara and her husband Bryan of Cocoa, FL. Loving grandfather of Cody Mc Cabe, Max Mc Cabe, Dr. Dana Rocha Griffith and Gus Meekins and great-grandfather of Milo and Sawyer. Dear brother of Adeline Slonim. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral on Thursday October 23, 2025, 12:30 pm at Di Chiara Funeral Home, 300 Main St., Lodi for a 1:00 pm Chapel Service.
