Charles William "Chuck" Shannon, Jr., age 71 years, a resident of Hambleton, WV, departed this life Saturday evening, November 2, 2024, at his home.
He was born Sunday July 23, 1953, at Annapolis, MD, a son of the late Charles William Shannon, Sr. and Mildred Isner Shannon.
Surviving are his companion of thirty six years, Brenda Lovonne Alkire of Hambleton; one brother, Bob William Shannon and wife Cheryl of Glen Burnie, MD; one sister, Linda Krell and husband Ed of Eastern Shore, MD; two step daughters, Teresa "TC" Helmick and husband Keith of Hambleton and Belinda "Bea" Alkire of St. Pete, FL; three grandchildren; Tiffany Auvil and husband Dave, Heather Helmick and Walter Rettig and wife Pam; eight, great grandchildren, Peyton, Alex, Camden, Taylor, Aaron, Phoenix, Harland, and Finnegan.
Preceding him in death are two brothers, Leroy William and Jesse William Shannon.
He was a graduate of Northeast High School in Pasadena, MD. He was a former employee of the Kennicott Factory in MD, a sheet metal factory, and then moved to Parsons, West Virginia, where he was currently a seasonal employee of the City of Parsons. Chuck enjoyed wood working, riding his side by side with Brenda and he loved to get ready for Christmas by putting up all his Christmas decorations. He loved his family very much.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons, WV on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, from 10 AM until 12 PM, at which time a Celebration of Life will be conducted by The Reverend James Snyder. Cremation will follow.
