Charlie King Obituary
Glenn, a native of Duplin County, served his country honorably as a Ranger in the US Army. Upon his retirement from Dupont, he started King's Mart, where he operated for many years. He did a lot for people in the community and was a very generous person. He loved music, dancing, especially shagging, going to the beach, and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Louindia King; and a brother, Jimmy King.
Glenn is survived by his daughter, Dawn Phillips of Fuquay Varina; brother, Wayne King and wife Nancy of Pembroke Pines, FL and their daughter, Ashley Patterson of Richmond, VA; brother, Gerald King and his son, Troy King, both of Louisville, KY; and nephew, James Edward King of Faison who is the son of his brother, Jimmy King.
