Charlotte Venable Obituary
A graveside service for Charlotte Wormington Venable, 80, will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Huffines Cemetery in Huffines, Texas. A visitation will be held Tuesday, October 14, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr. in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Charlotte was born on February 14, 1945 in Texarkana, Arkansas to Alice Marie and Jesse Lloyd Wormington and passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Charlotte married Charles Rodney Venable on July 7, 1961. She spent her career working for TG&Y and was the merchandising manager for Big Lots before retiring. She was an avid dog lover of all shapes and sizes.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Alice and Jesse Wormington; husband of 47 years, Charles Rodney Venable; three brothers; one sister; and son-in-law, Darrell V. Rhyne. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Curtis L. Venable and wife, Dawn, Kevin W. Venable, Jeffrey V. Rhyne and partner, Steven, Sharon M. Turner and husband, Bill; grandchildren, Justin Brewer, Mhonda Venable, Brandon Venable, Rhiannon Venable and partner, Deanna, Stephanie Purland, James Turner, Jennifer Turner; great-grandchildren, Colton Delaney and Presleigh Venable; and best friend and sister-in-law, Darlene Venable.
Charlotte will be greatly missed but the family will continue to love and cherish her memory.
