Edith Edwards Obituary

Winston-Salem- Mrs. Edith Marie Frost Edwards, 96, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Kernersville Medical Center. She was born June 10, 1929, in Wythe County, VA. She was a member of Crestwood Baptist Church and loved reading and studying the Bible. Edith was a homemaker devoted to her family and the Lord. She enjoyed cooking, coloring, watching game shows, and her hydrangea and roses. Edith is preceded in death by her husband, Vivian Ray Edwards. Survivors include her two sons, Dennis Edwards (Emma) and Nathan Edwards (Lisa) of Winston-Salem; five grandchildren, Cindy Johnston (Joey), Kristy Jones (Chris), Rachel Edwards, Sharon Morales (Emilio), and Veronica Brown; six great grandchildren, Ashlyn Johnston, A.J. Johnston, Morgan Johnston, Madison Jones, Houston Jones and Ethan Morales. The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM followed by the funeral service at 2:00 Friday, October 17, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Pastor Eddie Honeycutt officiating. The burial will follow in Gardens of Memory, Walkertown. Memorials may be directed to Crestwood Baptist Church at 530 Motor Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27105.
