Cheryl A. Heilman
MOUNT WOLF – Cheryl A. (Neff) Heilman, 77, of Mount Wolf, passed away, Friday, January 31, 2025, at Wellspan York Hospital. She was the wife of Robert Heilman whom she married 58 years ago July 9, 1966.
Cheryl was born January 27, 1948, in York and was the daughter of the late James H. Neff and Grace A. (Waltz) Neff.
She graduated in 1965 from Northeastern Senior High School in Manchester, PA. She was employed by the United States Postal Service at the Mount Wolf Post Office. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Susquehanna V.F.W. Post 2493 in Mount Wolf and Otterbein Church in Mount Wolf, PA.
Family and friends were everything to Cheryl. She loved to cook and go to the Poconos, and Christmas was her favorite time of year. Her favorite past time was giving Bob hell which was well deserved. She will be incredibly missed.
In addition to her husband, Cheryl is survived by her daughter, Jana Salvatore and her husband Tim of York, PA; her son, James Heilman and his wife Andrea of Red Lion, PA; four grandchildren, Kara, John, Grace, and Kathryn, and her sisters, Danette Lau and her husband John of Mount Wolf, PA, Tina Kling and her husband Fred of Ellenton, Florida, and Jamie Knappenberger and her husband Jim of York, PA.
Cheryl's funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf, PA. Her viewing will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, Tuesday at the funeral home. Her burial will be Private in Suburban Memorial Gardens in Dover, PA. Officiating at the service will be her pastor Reverend Mark Zortman.
