Cheryl Lynn (Turnbull) Hills, age 52, a resident of Trego, formerly of Hayward, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2024, at Essentia-St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth.
Cheryl was born on July 2, 1972, in Hayward to parents James and Sharon (Hanson) Turnbull. After graduating from Hayward High School, she attended WITC Barron County in Rice Lake for Accounting. Cheryl loved to cook and feed people, which led her to a career in food service. In 2016, she was united in marriage to Troy Hills, and the couple made their home in Superior for a time before moving to their current home in rural Trego.
Cheryl is survived by her husband Troy; son Dalton (Kiley); brothers Scott (Sheila) and Jason (Tali); parents James and Sharon Turnbull; and several nieces, nephews, and many cousins.
Cheryl is preceded in death by her grandparents, Harry and Evelyn Turnbull and Carl and Beatrice Hanson.
A time to celebrate Cheryl's life will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., at Grace Lutheran Church in Hayward with Pastor Dirk Jensen officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be on Saturday, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the Church. A private inurnment will take place at a later time at Greenwood Cemetery in Hayward.
In memory of Cheryl, her family would greatly appreciate if you would consider in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to the House of Hope at 10605 Main St., PO Box 372, Hayward, WI 54843.

I went to school with Cheryl. I'm truly saddened to hear of her passing. Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.
