Cheryl L. Hunt, 76, of Corry, PA, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at her residence.

She was born on October 12, 1948, in Corry, PA, a daughter of the late Thomas Messinger and Dorothy (Rasey) Hopkins.

Cheryl was raised and educated in Corry and graduated from Corry High School in 1967. After high school, her primary role was raising and caring for her family. She also worked for several shops in the Corry Area. Most recently, she worked for Associated Springs for 10 years until she retired in 2009.

She enjoyed walking, tending to her flower gardens and working on the yard.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by grandson, Jay Rougeau.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, Kenneth "Chip" Hunt Jr; two sons, JT Volk of Columbus, PA and Doug (Jean) Volk of Corry, PA; stepson, Doug (Michelle) Hunt of Mt. Juliet, TN; three stepdaughters, Angela (Carlo) Gervasio of Erie, PA, Heather (Jim) Troyer of Columbus, PA and Stephanie (Nick) Jawdy of Erie, PA; three sisters, Debbie (Jack) Davis of South Carolina, Pam (Jim) MaCafee of Cuba, NY and Lori Messinger-Walters of Corry, PA and two brothers, Craig (Gale) Messinger of Corry, PA and Brian (Tammy) Messinger of Spartansburg, PA.

She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held privately by the family.

Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, PA.

Arrangements are under the care of Bracken Funeral Home, Inc., 315 N. Center St, Corry, PA 16407.
