Christian Derr Obituary

Christian A. Derr, aged 53, formerly of Delano, died on October 27, 2024, in Lilbourn, MO. Born January 17, 1971, he was the son of the late Bruce A. and Alice M. (Sweet) Derr.

A 1988 graduate of Mahanoy Area High School, he dedicated much of his career to various industries, including positions at J.E. Morgan's Knitting Mill, Ivy Steel & Wire, and Jeld-Wen Windows and Doors.

A lifelong fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Baltimore Orioles, college football and golf, his enthusiasm and devotion to these teams and sports were apparent to everyone who knew him.

Christian is survived by a loving family, including brothers: Kevin A. Derr and wife Dorice, Scott A. Derr and wife Nancy, Randal J. Derr and Camie Finneran, Craig D. Derr and Devon Davidick; and sister, Linda M. Yurkanin and husband Kevin. He will also be fondly remembered by his nieces Kayla, Shelby, Emily, Taylor, and Brandi, and nephews Randy, Matthew, Craig Jr., and Nathan, as well as extended family members.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Christian's life will be held at Christ Lutheran Church in Barnesville on Saturday, November 9 at 11 a.m. Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Interment at Christ Church Cemetery will immediately follow the service.
