Christie was born on March 2, 1932 on St. Regis Island. She was the daughter of the late Jake and Cecilea (Mitchell) Lazore. She attended school on St. Regis Island, and at the St. Regis Mohawk School. She began working in various positions in Syracuse, including the Wardolf Restaurant as a server in her early twenties. She was a lifelong communicant of the St. Regis Church.

Christie and her husband owned and managed a large farm for several years on St. Regis Island, they took a lot of pride of their farm and what they had accomplished there. When Christie had closed the farm after the death of her husband, she still returned there every year with her children to garden, play and swim at the beach.
In her younger years she was a member of the St. Regis Recreation Committee, and the anchor with the Village Tug of War Team. She enjoyed boating, travelling long distances, with one of her most memorable experiences was going to the Grand Ole Opry in Tennessee and meeting Loretta Lynn among other greats that she admired.
In her later years, Christie enjoyed spending lots of time with her companion Cameron McNichol, her children, over fifty grandchildren and great grand-children, and also two great great grand-children who she all loved very much.
The family of Christie Roundpoint would like to Thank her neighbor and cousin Katrina Lazore who was always willing to lend a helping hand and the Home Support Workers of the Akwesasne Home Support Program who were always very caring, attentive and supportive to Christie's needs.
