Christine Snyder Obituary

Christine F. Snyder, affectionately known as Chris to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025, at the age of 58, in her hometown of Trenton, NJ, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on July 20, 1966, Chris's life was a testament to the power of love, courage, and strength. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and resilience that will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Chris's journey through life was marked by her unwavering faith and her commitment to her family. She was the beloved wife of Scott Snyder, a cherished mother to her daughter Olivia Bennion and her husband, Kyle, and her son, Travis Snyder and his girlfriend, Tess. She was the treasured daughter of James Formolo, Brigitte Formolo, and Susan Saunders. Her siblings Cindy Eversberg, Christina and Paul Drum, and Darlene Mansue will remember her as a guiding light in their lives. She will be missed by so many, including her many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, best friend Denise, and bonus granddaughter Amelia and her mom Nicole. Chris's role as a sister, daughter, wife, and mother was her greatest joy, and she filled these roles with boundless love and dedication.

A graduate of Lawrence High School, Chris went on to build a fulfilling career in medical billing, where she was known for her meticulous work and her ability to connect with colleagues and clients alike. Her involvement in the professional community reflected her commitment to service and excellence, values she held dear throughout her life.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Chris had an insatiable passion for creativity. She was a master of crochet, sewing, and all manner of crafts. Her hands were rarely still, as she found joy in creating beautiful things for her loved ones and her home. Chris also had a love for the written word, often losing herself in a good book. She had an adventurous spirit, which she expressed through her love of exploring yard and estate sales, always on the hunt for hidden treasures.

The words that best describe Chris-loving, courageous, selfless, and strong-only begin to capture the essence of who she was. She faced her battle with cancer with the same bravery and positivity that characterized her entire life. In the words of Maya Angelou, "Courage is the most important of all the virtues because without courage, you can't practice any other virtue consistently." Chris lived by this sentiment, practicing kindness, generosity, and love consistently, even in the face of adversity.

Chris's life was a beacon of hope and a reminder that we have the power to overcome our challenges with dignity and grace. Her spirit will forever be a source of motivation for those who had the privilege of knowing her. As we celebrate her life and mourn her passing, let us honor Chris's memory by living our lives with the same courage and love that she showed us every day. Though she may be gone from our sight, her spirit remains an indelible part of the tapestry of our lives, weaving together the threads of love and memories that will never fade.

Chris was incredibly proud of her sister, Cindy, volunteering her time and giving back to the Elks Special Children. The family would like to extend their unending gratitude to the nurses that helped take care of Chris. Including, but not limited to, her nurses on the oncology floor, her infusion nurses, and everyone else who helped to make sure Chris was always in the best hands and received the best care.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, July 17th, from 5:00-8:00 PM at Murphy's Funeral Home in Ewing, NJ. Mass will be held on Friday, July 18th, at 11:00 AM at St. Ann's Church in Lawrence, NJ. The funeral will be immediately following mass at the Ewing Church Cemetery in Ewing, NJ.
