Christine Thomson Obituary

Christine Barbara (Hollister) Thomson, 69, of Coto de Caza, CA, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2024, at The Homestead in Osceola.
A private burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery.
She was born on June 10, 1955, in Holland, Michigan, to Dale Stewart and Myrtle Virginia (Domme) Hollister.
Christine dedicated her life to caring for others, both as an OR nurse and as a homemaker. Her gentle and nurturing spirit extended beyond her family to the many lives she touched through her work. Christine found immense joy in traveling with her husband, Stephen, a thriving travel agent for many years. Together, they explored the world, creating memories that would last a lifetime.
A devoted mother, Christine's greatest pride and joy were her children, Fran and Elizabeth. She was the best mom ever, always putting her family's needs before her own and ensuring her children were loved and cared for.
Christine had a talent for sewing and used her skills to create beautiful quilts for her church group. These quilts were donated to soldiers on active duty overseas and provided comfort to stillborn babies, giving them a final embrace before burial. Her selfless acts of kindness and dedication to serving others were a testament to her compassionate heart.
Known for her shy and quiet demeanor, Christine had a wonderful sense of humor that shone through once you got to know her. Her warmth and quiet wit endeared her to all who had the pleasure of her company.
Christine and Stephen were high school sweethearts who shared a deep and enduring love. Their bond was evident to all who knew them, and they truly were made for each other. After years of separation, they are now joyfully reunited in eternity.
Christine is survived by her children, Robert Francis Thomson and Elizabeth Dale (Joshua John) Fioretto; her mother, Myrtle Virginia (Domme) Hollister; three grandchildren, Anthony Stephen, Charlotte Elaine and Sophia Rose Fioretto; brothers, Lester and Randall Hollister and sisters, Annette Fisher and Teresa Winnell.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Stephen Thomson; her father, Dale Stewart Hollister and her brother, Dale, Jr.
