Cidney Tickle Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by David W. Barnes Funeral Home on Sep. 10, 2024.
Cidney Louise Tickle, 75, of Coffeyville passed away on Friday, September 6, 2024, at her home.
She was born on April 14, 1949, in Cedar Vale, Kansas at Forest and Hazel (Green) Smith. Cidney grew up and attended school in Coffeyville, Kansas, a place she would call home for the remainder of her life.
She married the love of her life, Luther Tickle, on April 22, 1967, and together they built a family and a home filled with love and warmth. Cidney dedicated her life to the nurturing of her beloved family, serving as a dedicated homemaker, a role she cherished.
A longtime member of the Southview Church of God in South Coffeyville, Oklahoma, Cidney's faith was a significant part of her life. She loved going fishing, but what mattered most to her was the time spent with her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Cidney is survived by her daughter, Christy Tickle; her son, Raymond Tickle; her grandchildren, Danielle Brown, Jon Brown III, Eva Tickle, and Sonny Johnson Tickle; her sisters, Carol Tickle and Belva Slaton; and fifteen cherished great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Forest and Hazel Smith; her loving husband, Luther Tickle; and her precious daughter, Carol Ann Tickle.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, Kansas. The family will greet friends on Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at the Southview Church of God, 326 Interstate Road, South Coffeyville, Oklahoma.
The funeral service celebrating Cidney's life will be held at Southview Church of God at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 12, 2024. Burial will follow in Robbins Cemetery west of Coffeyville.
