Cindy is survived by her children April Wilbanks, Katherine Burge, and Thomas “TJ” Burge (Cynthia), her grandchildren Avery Wilbanks, Serenity Burge and Erika Burge, her niece Rebecca Raya and nephew Christopher Martin. Cindy was preceded in death by her husband, John Kelley, parents Warren and Elizabeth “Ann” Martin, brothers Michael Luce and Paul Martin, nephew Eric Martin and grandson Matthew “Tommy” Thomas Fetters.
Cindy grew up in Overland Park, KS. She attended Shawnee Mission West High School where she played the flute in the marching band. She was also very artistic and had aspirations of being an interior designer. After graduation, she received her Associates Degree at Johnson County Community College. Then she went on to study Studio Art at Kansas State University. At the age of 22, she began working for the IRS in Kansas City, where she remained a loyal employee for over 39 years, until her passing.
Cindy was a faith driven woman who was very involved in her church communities. She loved children and taught Sunday School, as well as volunteering in the nursery. She especially loved her granddaughters. They were her everything, as was her family. Cindy had an outgoing and personality with a contagious laugh. She was an extremely devoted and loyal friend to many, and always strived to spread love, encouragement and positivity.
