Claudene Smith Goodwin, 83, of Chesterfield, Michigan, passed from this life on Monday, March 16, 2026, at Corwell Grosse Pointe Hospital in Grosse Pointe, Michigan.

Claudene was born on Saturday, April 18, 1942, in Bluff City, Tennessee, to the late Charles Eugene Smith and Lela Ellen (Jenkins) Smith.

Claudene was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, Grandma, aunt, and friend.

Claudene is survived by her 3 Children, Dale Goodwin and his wife Krista, Rhonda Goodwin, and Tammy Lemmen and her husband Bob; 9 Grandchildren, Tristin, Coltin, Kimberli, Amberli, Melani, Sandy and her husband Nik, Cory and his wife Raelynn, Ashlyn, and Brendan; 3 Great-Grandchildren, Carter, Blake, and Grant; Sister, Jean Boswell; Furry Companion, Allie; Great-Grand Dog, Cider; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.

In addition to her parents, Claudene was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Glynn Lewis Goodwin; 2 Brothers, George and Hobart Smith. Sister, Oleta Phillips.

Memorial Service for Claudene Goodwin will be held Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 1:00 pm from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home, Cookeville, Tennessee. Inurnment will follow the service in the Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
