Claudette Brown Obituary

Claudette Marie Brown, age 89, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2025.

Born on May 24, 1936, in Detroit, Michigan, Claudette was the beloved daughter of the late Henry and Grace Corby. She dedicated much of her professional life as a clerical administrator with Textron, where her attention to detail and steady presence were appreciated by all who worked with her.

Above all, Claudette cherished her family. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her daughter, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family. Whether it was gathering for holidays, celebrating milestones, or simply enjoying each other's company, Claudette's love and warmth were a constant presence.

In her free time, Claudette enjoyed the simple pleasures of life-especially shopping. She had a special knack for finding the best deals, with the Dollar Tree being one of her favorite places to browse.

Loving mother of Debra Watterson (Jeff). Devoted grandmother of Matthew Watterson, Mitchell Watterson (Jamie), and Mackenzie Watterson (Winnie). Proud great grandmother of Kylie Watterson, Avery Watterson, Hazel Watterson, and Sadie Watterson. Dear sister of the late Lawrence Corby.

Family will receive friends on Friday, October 17, from 10AM until the time of the funeral service at 12PM, at A.J. Desmond & Sons, 2600 Crooks Rd., Troy, MI. (248) 362-2500.

Claudette will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield, Michigan.
