Connie Sue Hodge, 61 of Centralia passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at her home.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, October 7, 2024, at Fenton-Kendrick Funeral Home in Centralia with burial to follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery in Sturgeon. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
Connie was born on September 27, 1963, in Mexico, MO. She was the daughter of Larry Spauldin and Patricia (Mathis) Spauldin.
On December 29, 1990, Connie married Mark Hodge in Centralia, MO.
Along with her husband Mark, Connie is survived by her father, Larry Spauldin of Centralia, daughter, Margo Hodge Dalal and husband Piyush Dalal of Columbia, son Chase Hodge of Columbia; sister, Debbie Sullivan of Centralia, brother, Daryl Spauldin of Centralia, sister-in-law, Belinda Morley of Davenport, IA, brother -in-law, Daniel Hodge and wife Chris of Florida, brother-in-law, John Hodge of Davenport, IA; many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Connie was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia.
Mark and Connie made the Quad Cities their home for 29 before moving back to Centralia.
She was very dedicated to her children, and she loved her family and spending time with her friends. She was a member of the Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity at Truman State University. She was lovingly nicknamed Friartuck by her college friends. She also made many lasting friendships through her work at Walmart management and from hosting Home Interiors parties for many years. Connie loved to spend her time reading and traveling, she was able to go to see 49 of the 50 US states, as well as a few trips outside of the country.
Memorial donations are suggested to the causes important to Connie; her family's Locust Grove Baptist Cemetery Association or Columbia Missouri Thompson Center of which helps children with Autism. Donations may be sent in care of Fenton-Kendrick Funeral Home at 104 S. Collier St. Centralia, MO 65240.
