Constance “Connie” Anne Warren passed away at her home in Moodus, CT, at the beginning of October 2024. She was born in September of 1960 in Colorado and grew up in Calhan, CO, where she graduated from Calhan High School. She was a dedicated hard-worker whose almost 50 year career in Information Technology began at Kaman Aerospace in Colorado Springs and continued in Connecticut for a total of 40 years. Connie was proud of obtaining her Associate’s Degree in Information Technology from Colorado Technical University and had almost finished a Bachelor’s Degree, all while working full-time at Kaman. Following corporate changes at Kaman, Connie began her next chapter in IT with CAES Space System and then Frontgrade Technologies. Connie was a beacon of expertise, kindness, and friendship throughout her career, demonstrated by her many life-long friends that started as coworkers.
Connie was an avid photographer of just about everything. She would go on excursions to take photos and spend hours editing her work to accentuate the beauty she captured, then sharing them on her Facebook and Instagram. In addition to being the family photographer, she was also the family historian, a passion that crossed over easily from both her love of her family and love of collecting books, antiques, and Americana. She overcame difficult trials throughout her life, as a single mother she left behind everything she knew in Colorado and resettled with her children in Connecticut. Her greatest joy was watching them graduate from college and become the individuals they are today. Connie adored her cats Shazbot, Fava Bean, Tidus, Tai and Louise. Her family and friends will always remember Connie for both her compassionate and loving nature, and her adventurous spirit.
Connie will be forever loved and remembered by her children Annabelle Bass and Charles Bass; stepchildren Amber Bass and Alexander Bass; siblings Hal Warren II, Brian Warren, and Jackie Warren; as well as numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends. In addition to her parents Hal and Patricia Warren, she is predeceased by her paternal grandparents Ralph and Lydia Warren; maternal grandparents Frank C. and Mary Jane Kucerik; and her brother Brett Warren. Connie’s family would like to acknowledge the efforts and compassion from her caregivers Cynthia, Rosemary, and numerous others who looked after Connie in her time of need. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made in Connie’s name to organizations furthering research and awareness for Cancer, Diabetes, and Alzheimer’s.
