Craig Littlejohn was born in Kansas City, KS at St. Margaret's Hospital on January 26,
1953, to Doris M. Littlejohn and Edward R. Littlejohn. He attended Hawthorne Elementary
School, Northwest Middle School, and graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1971. Craig
continued his education in Automotive Mechanics at KCK Vocational Technical School
graduating at the top of the class.
Craig was gifted a 1964 Chevrolet from his grandmother and spent numerous hours
tinkering with it in the backyard until he deemed it to be in perfect condition. He later built a 1955
Chevrolet that he raced at many racetracks around the Kansas City Area for several years.
Craig started an Auto Service in his backyard while also working at Armco Steel Company.
Craig along with his brothers, Phillip and Charles, and nephew, Bruce, opened a car repair and
tow service for several years. Craig was well known in KCK for his ability to listen to a car's
problems and immediately diagnose and repair it. He could be called anytime – day or night –
and he would be on his way. Craig was a truly quiet and gentle person that could be counted on
when needed.
Craig married Yasmin Campbell. The marriage was later dissolved, but they remained
good friends until her death in 2003.
In his later years, Craig spent time tinkering with cars in the backyard and spending time
with the babies of the family. He formed a remarkably close bond with them all including Alarice
Hanna (Reecie), Akiyra Campbell (Kiri), Malani Bell (Baby), and Antwan Bell (Man).
Craig departed this earthly life on Tuesday, September 17, 2024. He is proceeded in
death by his mother and father, Doris M. Littlejohn and Edward R. Littlejohn, Sr., his brothers
Edward R. Littlejohn, Jr., Charles B. Littlejohn, Phillip F. Nelson, Sr., and sister Willo L. Littlejohn,
and his beloved friend, Wayne Hill. Craig leaves to cherish his memories, son: Craig Williams-
Littlejohn, daughter: Cierra Littlejohn, sisters: Gail Mason (Kansas City, Kansas), Fern Littlejohn
(Gladstone, MO), Marilynn "Dotta" Littlejohn (Kansas City, Kansas), brother: Leon Tucker
(Kansas City, MO), childhood friends: DeWayne Blockmon, Henry "Butch" Boswell, James
"Cupcake" Rodgers, and James "Jobo" Johnson, and Howard Miller.
