Curtis Wayne McAfee was born on August 21, 1951 in Stratford, Oklahoma to Evelyn & William (Dutch) McAfee. He passed from this life on August 8, 2024 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at 72 years of age.
Curtis grew up in Stratford in his early years, attending and graduating from Stratford High School. He went on to join the U.S. Army where he was deployed to Germany where he worked and support Pershing Missile for Vietnam, before receiving an Honorable Discharge for services rendered to his country. After leaving the Army he completed 2 years of college and went to work for the State Highway Dept. up until his retirement.
Curtis was a solitary man, he enjoyed keeping to himself most of the time. He loved spending his free time hunting and fishing, and when he wasn't in nature he was working on or riding his motorcycle or driving his car. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his Parents, Evelyn & William (Dutch) McAfee and a brother; Eugene (Goose) McAfee.
Curtis is survived by a brother, Charles & wife Nancy McAfee of Byars, Oklahoma and a sister, Carol & husband Randy Sugg of Kingston, Oklahoma as well as nieces, nephews and friends.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at 10 AM at Byars Cemetery with Dr. Kevin McAfee officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 13 from 5 to 7 PM at the DeArman-Pickard Funeral Home in Stratford, Oklahoma. Services under the Direction of the DeArman-Pickard Funeral Home in Stratford.
