CYNTHIA GLORIA THOMPSON "MAMA"
Cynthia Gloria Thompson 81, peacefully transitioned on Tuesday July 29th, 2025, at 8:47am at Northside Hospital, Lawrenceville, GA.
Cynthia Thompson was born on July 15th, 1944, in St. Ann, Jamaica, West Indies to Marian Bramwell and George Barrett.

Cynthia Gloria Thompson was a remarkable woman whose strength, warmth, and unwavering love left a lasting mark on everyone who had the privileged of knowing her. Mama had a deep and abiding faith in God. She was a devoted believer who found strength and peace through her relationship with Christ. She read her Bible every day and spend time in prayer daily, living out her faith with quiet grace and unwavering trust in the Lord. She worked diligently as a domestic worker, taking pride in her work and serving others with care and dignity. Her hands, always busy, reflected a life of service. They were also hands that created beauty. Whether she was crocheting beautiful dollies, a cozy blanket, coloring detailed design, or sketching quietly in her bed, her creativity brought joy to her and those around her.
A true lover of words, she could often be found with a crossword puzzle or word search in hand, patiently and cleverly solving each one. These hobbies were more than pastimes-they reflected her thoughtful mind and attention to details. She loved music and movement-singing from the heart, dancing with joy, and filling any space with her laughter and rhythm. The kitchen was another space of joy, where she expressed her love through cooking. Family and close friends gathered often to enjoy her delicious meals, filled with comfort and tradition.
In her quiet moments, she enjoyed suspenseful mysteries, laugh-out-loud comedies, and the heartwarming shows that mirrored her love for storytelling and connection. But above all, her greatest joy came from time spent with her family. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend offering unwavering love, wisdom, and comfort to all who came into her life.
Cynthia lived with grace, humor, and heart. She may have been quiet in the world's eye, but to those who knew her, she was nothing short of phenomenal.
