Dale Ball, 78, a resident of Colt, went to be with his Lord and Savior and his wife: Pat, Thursday, January 9, 2025, in Jonesboro surrounded by his family. He was born, January 1, 1947, in Cherry Valley, the son of John William and Wilma Anna Gertrude Nixon Ball. He married Miss Patricia Ann Speer on March 18, 1967.
Dale grew up in Cross County, working at Sanyo in the 60's and 70's, then as a mechanic at Glen Ford until 1979 and finally opening Dale's Auto Salvage. He enjoyed hauling junk, working on old cars, tractors, backhoes, and attending auctions. His greatest joy was playing the bass guitar and singing at church or festivals. Dale attended the Vanndale Baptist Church. He was a honest, caring and giving man who would help anyone in need. His greatest love was his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents: John and Wilma Ball, His wife of fifty-five years: Pat Ball, one brother: Jay Ball, one sister: Judy Ball.
Survivors include one son: Ricky Ball and Wife Debbie of Wynne, two brothers: Sonny Ball and wife Shirley of Wynne, Doyle Ball and wife Linda of Caldwell, one sister: Shirley Ball of West Memphis, two grandsons: Randale Ball and wife Carmen, Aaron Ball, two great-grandchildren: Walker and Cohen Ball and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held, Monday evening from 6 until 8:00 p.m. at the Vanndale Baptist Church. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at the Vanndale Baptist Church with burial following in Vanndale Cemetery with Military Honors.
