D.D. (Waits) Kuhn-Hess passed away, in Fort Worth on October 30, 2024, at the age of 68. She was a beacon of love, positivity and kindness.
Family was everything to D.D. -- she would make a point to tell them she loved them at the end of every conversation. Her caring nature, always helping others without asking for anything in return, earned her the love and admiration of all who knew her. She always saw the good in people, brightening lives with her great sense of humor.
D.D. raised her two boys with a perfect blend of firm guidance and abundant love, embodying the true spirit of motherhood. Her bond with her sister Jana was a testament to sisterly love and support, which were unparalleled in everything. D.D.'s grandchildren brought her immense joy, and she cherished her time with them.
Recently, D.D. married the love of her life, Dave. They became the happiest couple, always with a smile and doing everything together.
D.D. was born on February 5, 1956, to Glen and Ava Jean (Brown) Waits in Fort Worth, Texas. She and her five siblings traveled the world and were a tight-knit group. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Skeeter Waits; nephews Kevin Waits and George Gordon III; and sister-in-law, Sherry Waits.
D.D. is survived by her husband, Dave Hess; sons, Roger Strickland and Beau Kuhn and his wife Audra; step-son, Jason Hess and his wife Melissa; step-daughter, Amber and her husband Eric; brothers, Richard Waits and his wife Shelley, Greg Waits and his wife Gail, Shaun Waits and his wife Mirrisa; sister, Jana (Waits) Johnson and her husband Ron; sister-in-law, Debra Waits; grandchildren, Robert Dean, Ava Jean, Phoenix, Savannah, Nicklas, and Anthony; nieces, Skye and Lisa; nephews, Shaun, George, Rick, Brandon, Chris, Brock, Dirk, Michael, and Christopher; family by heart, Brenda, Sue, James and Glenn; extended family and a host of friends.
