Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Mildred Kathleen Holloway, lovingly known as "Memaw" age 91, of Jefferson, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Monday September 1, 2025. Mrs. Holloway was born in Jefferson, Georgia the daughter to the late L.C. and Ruby Irene Gaddis Garrett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd George Holloway Sr., sister, Louise Chambers and a brother, Donnie Garrett.

Mrs. Holloway retired from Jefferson Mills after 44 years of service. She was a member of People's Church and enjoyed eating at Cracker Barrel. Memaw's life was a beautiful testimony of faith, love, and dedication. She loved God with all her heart and found great joy in southern gospel music, which often filled her home with warmth and praise. She enjoyed going on trips with family and to gospel singing with her cousin Edith Gaillard. She especially enjoyed having all her family together for holiday celebrations. Memaw's devotion to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and family, her charming wit and spunk will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Her church was a cornerstone of her life, and she cherished every opportunity to gather with her church family.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother, whose greatest blessing was her family. Memaw's happiest moments were spent in the company of her children and grandchildren, where her laughter and love shone brightly. She worked hard all her life, never shying away from sacrifice if it meant taking care of those she loved.

Sundays were especially meaningful to Memaw. She poured her heart into preparing meals for her family, making sure everyone was fed not only with her delicious cooking but also with her warmth and care. Around her table, countless memories were made that will be cherished for generations.

Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of faith, family, and love will live on in all who were blessed to know her.

Survivors include sons, Lloyd Holloway Jr. (Margaret) of Jefferson, GA, Michael D. Holloway (Kathy) of Jefferson, GA and Gary D. Holloway (Debbie) of Commerce, GA. Sister, Hazel Chambers of Comer, GA. Two brothers, Bobby Garrett (Shelby) of Hull, GA and Robert Garrett (Ann) of Gainesville, GA. Ten grandchildren, Michelle Paul of Jefferson, GA, April Beem (Brad) of Jefferson, GA, Amanda Wilbanks (Jesse) of Braselton, GA, Misty Bryant (Brandon) of Gainesville, GA, Chris Holloway (Holly) of Maysville, GA, Morgan Pritchett (Caleb) of Cornelia, GA, Michael Powell (Jennifer) of Suwanee, GA, Steven Brock of Commerce, GA, Stephanie Crawford (Evan) of Commerce, GA and Ashley Cooper (Eli) of Maysville, GA. Twenty-two great grandchildren, Alexandria Bidwell (Chris), Hudson Looney, Jae Paul, Garrett Beem, Gracie Beem, Lincoln Wilbanks, Madeline Wilbanks, Ella Bryant, Harper Bryant, Cannon Holloway, Carson Holloway, Ethan Banan, Zach Hall, Ava Hall, Camden Powell, Memphis Pritchett, Jacee Smith, Jaxon Crawford, Jordyn Crawford, Camden Cooper, Tinley Cooper and Emi Cooper. Two great-great grandchildren, Whit Bidwell and Wells Bidwell. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

A celebration of her life will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 5, 2025, from Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Joel Shadburn officiating. Burial will follow at Woodbine Cemetery, Jefferson, GA. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. at Evans Funeral Home. Honored as pallbearers will be Brad Beem, Jesse Wilbanks, Brandon Bryant, Chris Holloway, Michael Powell and Hudson Looney.

Memaw's family takes comfort in knowing she has entered her heavenly home, reunited with loved ones, and is resting in the presence of the Lord she served so faithfully.
