Daniel Calvin (Dan) Trimue was born in Blytheville, Arkansas, on December 15, 1942. He was the son of Robert Trimue and Trecy Sanders Trimue.
He departed this life in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, on December 5, 2024. He was 81 years old.
Dan married Laurie Elizabeth McClanahan, on March 15, 1986, in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She preceded him in death earlier this year.
Dan and Laurie owned a very successful siding and home improvement store in Hot Springs for many years. After they moved to Caruthersville, they were the owners of 4th Street Deli and also Trader Dan's Pawn Shop.
Dan proudly served his country in the United States Air Force before receiving his honorable discharge.
Dan's proudest and happiest times were spent with his family including grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by four children: Donna Trimue, Delores Trimue Wakin, Joshua Trimue, and Katie Trimue; two sisters: Julia Young & Dolores Gunter; ten grandchildren: Teresa, Drew, Danielle, Samantha, Eric, Rylan, Adylan, Connor, Carter, and Corbin; five great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents - Robert & Trecy Trimue, his wife - Laurie Trimue, one brother - Bobby, a sister - Donna Sue, a son - Daniel Calvin Trimue, Jr., and a grandchild - Daryl.
There will be no public service.
H.S. Smith Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
