Dannie Eugene Manns was born on October 5, 1939, in Middletown, Ohio to Lawrence and Luella (Cress) Manns. He passed away at his home in Duncan on September 10, 2024 at the age of 84.
According to his wishes, there are no services planned. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.
Dannie joined the Air Force in 1956 and served for 8 years. On January 11, 1958, he married the love of his life, Lois Wardlow, in Liberty, Indiana. Together they raised their four children: Cindy, Micah, Carlotta, and Christa. Dannie worked as a long-haul trucker, but in his free time, he loved being outdoors fishing and hunting. Most of all, Dannie loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Lois; children: Cindy Back and husband Garyl of Camden, OH, Micah Manns and wife Kimberly of El Paso, TX, Carlotta Ruble of Dade City, FL, Christa Stover and husband David of Duncan; grandchildren: Jessica Brandenburg and husband Kyle, Wyatt Back and wife Shanda, Heather Castillo and husband Chris, Ashley Wilson and husband Troy, Corine Ortega and husband Gilbert, Jon Ruble and wife Lisa, Dustyn Ruble and wife Karley, Jake Ruble and wife Jocyln, Dalton Stover and wife Kaycee, Drew Stover; and 13 great-grandchildren. Other survivors include brothers: Donnie Manns, Lawrence Manns and wife Lucy, David Manns, George Manns and wife Sue; and sisters: Kimberly Reed and Julie Hudson and husband Billy.
Dannie is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Rick Manns.
