Dan was born November 10, 1952 in Amherst, TX.
Dan was raised in Plainview, TX and was a graduate of Plainview High School in 1970. He then attended West Texas College in Canyon, TX. Dan was a manager in residential construction and loved to travel and go deep sea fishing. He loved Tatuaje cigars.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dick and Laverne Williamson and his father, James Elwin McDowell.
He is survived by his Mother, Omega "Mickey" Baker of Abernathy, a daughter, Michelle Brown of Amarillo, TX, 2 grandchildren, Brooke Lea Richter and Devon Razo and wife Jodie all of Amarillo, 2 great granddaughters, Melodie and Valorie Razo of Amarillo, an Aunt, Ova Lee McInroe and husband Bill of Levelland, TX and a dear family friend Sandra McDowell of Houston, TX
The family suggests memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society, 3511 Tenth Street, Lubbock, TX 79409
