Darcia C. Durrell, age 62, of Bear, DE, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025.
Born in Philadelphia, PA on December 30, 1962, she was a daughter of Joseph "JC" and Beverly M. (Adams) Manning. Darcia worked in claims at the Department of Labor.
Darcia looked forward to any reason to get dressed up to go out. In her spare time, she enjoyed challenging her loved ones to a game of Pinochle. Darcia also enjoyed eating seafood. Her most cherished moments were spent at family gatherings.
Darcia is survived by her parents, Joseph and Beverly Manning of Delaware; sisters, Beverly Williams of California, Rhonda Noble, and Joanne Drake (Fred), both of Philadelphia; nephew, David Overton (Sarah) of Delaware; nieces, Anita Pamaran of California, Shannon White (Frank), LeAnn Gay (Curtis), Sherrie, Candice, and Christine, all of Philadelphia; aunt, Valarie; uncles, Joseph, Kenneth, and Ernest; and a host of great-grandnieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 4 pm until 5 pm on Friday, March 28, 2025, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where a memorial service will begin at 5 pm. Inurnment will be held privately.

I will always remember the energy Darcia brought everywhere she went. She was a beautiful person inside and out. Her friendship meant the world to me and I will miss her greatly. I pray her family finds comfort while they grieve this terrible loss.
