Darius Francis Obituary

Darius Francis, affectionately known as "Di Kartel," of Reading, PA, passed away unexpectedly on August 13, 2024, at the age of 27. Born on January 25, 1997, at 11:54 a.m. in St. Mary's Hospital, Brooklyn, New York, Darius was the beloved son of Sthrudy Francis Yulfo and Miguel Yulfo.
As a child, Darius was known for his helpful nature and was always willing to lend a hand to his peers. This characteristic continued into adulthood, where he became a cherished member of his community and family.
Darius is survived by his "Nana", Mary Ellen Pace; and maternal grandfather, Rogelio Hooker. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Juan Yulfo and his maternal grandmother, Leonie Rubina Francis.
Other survivors include his brother, Demetrius Francis; two sisters: D'Andrea Jones and 10-year-old Apryl Yulfo; half-siblings: Adrian Wilson, Ashley Wilson, Danielle Yulfo, and Brianna Yulfo -who all loved him dearly; and two goddaughters: Yarianni and Kehlani Ramos. He cared deeply for his sisters and had immense respect for his older brother Demetrius. Family was always at the forefront of his mind, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
A true "mama's boy," Darius shared a special bond with his mother, Sthrudy. They enjoyed deep conversations that would often last late into the night. His love and loyalty to his family were unmatched, and he was especially close to his younger sister Apryl, whom he adored.
Darius found his passion behind the camera, becoming a very successful photographer and content creator. He was able to express his creativity and connect with people through his work, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of seeing the world through his lens.
Darius's kind heart, his loyalty to family and friends, and his bright spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his loved ones. He leaves behind his mother, father, aunts, uncles, sisters, brothers, cousins, and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 10:30 am in Calvary Assembly of God, 242 Shunpike Road, Springfield, NJ 07081.
