Darren Tola age 63, of Ringgold, Georgia passed away on Friday, August 30, 2024. He was born in Lincoln, Michigan, had resided in Columbus, Georgia many years before moving to Ringgold in 2001. Darren was a proud veteran who served his country and retired from the United States Army. He enjoyed being in the great outdoors, whether it be camping, fishing, shooting or just natures beauty. He also enjoyed being a Troop Leader with The Boy Scouts of America while his son was a boy scout. Darren enjoyed many other things as well such as; collecting knives, coins, foreign money, tinkering with just about anything, playing chess and he was an avid runner. He was a World War II history buff and enjoyed playing videos games based in that era. He was a baseball fan of the Detroit Tigers, football fan of the Auburn Tigers as well as the Detroit Lions. He enjoyed studying about his Italian Heritage and was of the Baptist faith. He loved spending time with his dogs, his grandchildren, his children and all of his family.
Darren is preceded in death by his mother: Jean Daniels, father-in-law and mother-in-law: C.J. and Donna Bushaw, brother-in-law: Michael Bushaw. He is survived by his wife: Mary Beth Bushaw Tola, their children: Cynthia Tola, Christina (Michael) Pike, Charles (Natalie Faustine) Tola, brother: Patrick Daniels, grandchildren: Alexander Pike, Marie Pike, Naomi Pike, sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Susan and Alex Burns.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Thursday morning after 9:00 am until the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am – Thursday – September 5, 2024 in the chapel. Burial will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Friday – September 6, 2024 at Chattanooga Veterans National Cemetery.
