David Baker Obituary

David E. Baker, 82, of Factoryville, passed away Sunday October 27, 2024 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born July 27, 1942, in Carbondale; he was the son of the late Ralph and Rosetta Hersh Baker.
After graduating from Lackawanna Trail High School in 1960, he attended Penn State for two years and he graduated with an associates degree in Drafting. After college, he went to work for Bell Labs and Ingersol Rand as a draftsman.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his former wife Geraldine S. Sharp ; a brother, James Baker; a brother-in-law Elwood White; a nephew, Donald White.
David is survived by: son, Jim Baker, Denver, PA; daughter, Debbie Higgins (Jeff), Nicholson; two sisters, Lois Gritman (Robert) and Beverly White; four grandchildren, Brad (Nicole), Vanessa (Bailey), Amanda, and Daniel; four great grandchildren, Sadie, Lacey, Greyson and Keirstin; and an abundance of nieces and nephews.
A Memorial service will be Saturday Nov.16, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the Anthony P. Litwin Jr. Funeral Homes, Inc. 33 Reynolds St. Factoryville, with the Pastor John A. Whitehead officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in East Caanan Cemetery, Waymart.
